Most of you love chocolate. Here’s a totally healthy version of chocolate ice cream you can binge on! What makes it healthy is that it uses a banana base instead of a fatty cream base.

Makes 3 cups. Calories: 242

Ingredients:
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
4 frozen bananas
¼ cup maple syrup
⅓ cup cocoa powder
2 tbsp natural peanut butter

How to make:
Combine the yoghurt, bananas, maple syrup and cocoa powder in a blender and blend until it’s a thick and creamy paste. Top it with some peanut butter and pulse 2-3 times. Freeze. Serve.

 

Green-Tea Pistachio Ice Cream

Green-Tea Pistachio Ice Cream

This ice cream cannot get more healthy as it has a double dose of anti-oxidants from the matcha powder AND pistachios.

Makes 3-4 cups. Calories: 357

Ingredients:
1 cup cashews 
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
¼ cup canned coconut or almond milk
1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
2 frozen bananas
⅓ cup pistachio pieces

How to make:
Cover the cashews in water and soak overnight. Rinse them and drain the water.
Blend the rest of the ingredients along with the cashews until it’s a thick and creamy paste.
Transfer to cups or a loaf pan and freeze for 4 hours. Serve.

This one is super-simple and super-perfect for the summer season! What with yummy mangoes available everywhere.

Makes 3 cups. Calories: 93

Ingredients:
¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2½ cup frozen mango

How to make:
Just combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend it’s a thick and creamy paste. Refrigerate until chilled. Top with berries if you want. Serve.

Makes 3 cups. Calories: 203

Ingredients:
¼ cup Greek yogurt
2 tbsp maple syrup
10 whole milk ice cubes
1 frozen banana 
6 seedless dates
¼ tsp sea salt

How to make:
Blend the yogurt, maple syrup, milk ice cubes and banana until it’s a creamy paste. Chop dates to a preferred size and add to paste. Mix so the dates are evenly distributed. Freeze for a firm consistency. Serve.

 

Watermelon Sorbet

Watermelon Sorbet

74 calories.

Ingredients:
1/4th cup water
1 cup low-fat vanilla yoghurt
1 tbsp lime juice
1/4th cup sugar
4 cups diced, seedless watermelon

How to make:
Combine water and sugar in a pan. Heat until sugar is dissolved and then let it cool. Blend the watermelon in a blender until it’s a paste. Transfer to a bowl and add the lime juice, sugar syrup and yoghurt. Whisk until combined. Freeze for 6 hours atleast.
If you want a smoother texture, put in a blender before serving and blend until it’s a thick paste. Serve.
