5 Reasons Why Europe is a Perfect Wedding Destination
The wedding season is about to begin in full swing and I think it is safe to say that couples are frantically scouting for wedding locations. In the past decade, destination weddings have gained a lot of momentum. Earlier, many Indian couples would tie the knot at South-East Asian locations, however, with B-town celebs choosing Europe to tie the knot, more and more couples are looking at Europe as a prospective location.
There are several myths attached to why people don’t prefer to choose Europe as a preferred destination- budget issues, planning problems and difficulties related to food. However, in this blog, I am going to debunk any existing myths and urge people to take the plunge.
Here is why you can or probably should consider Europe:
1.Accessibility
Getting to European cities from India has become increasingly easy these days, just a flight or two flights away. With major airlines like Air France, KLM and Alitalia offering round trip tickets to India, it has become a more hassle-free experience.
2. Picturesque Locales
We are not unaware of the beauty that lies within Europe. The blue Mediterranean sea, the landscapes in Tuscany, the Adriatic views in Hvar, the gondola rides in Venice, and the architectural beauty of Rome- Europe has a natural backdrop for every type of wedding.
Whether you are looking out for a grand and opulent wedding affair, or an elegant and rustic one, Europe has something for everybody.
3. Om nom nom
Every nook and corner of Europe is bursting with delectable dishes and cuisines to offer- be it the British breakfast, the mezze platter from Greek or the handmade pizzas and pasta from Italy. It will give your guests an experience of a lifetime as they get to taste authentic dishes, like never before. Not to miss the wines from the Burgundy or Chianti regions!
4. Budget-friendly? Yes!
Good news!
The cost of getting hitched in Europe is similar to getting married in any major city in India. With many people ready to spend Rs 50 lakhs to 2 crores on marriages in India, Europe is no longer an unimaginable option. What’s best? You can manage your guest list accordingly and preferably keep under 250 persons.
5. Less pressure
You could keep your wedding as intimate as possible (for example, at Castle Scalige) or you could have a super-elaborate affair at a luxury estate. It is your decision to take and considering your guest list is limited, you won’t be answerable to a lot of people.
So, time to start prepping!
