Aakash & Purvi Goa : Purvi and Aakash’s gorgeous Goa wedding will give you major shaadi wear inspo!
Purvi and Aakash got hitched in a beautiful ceremony by the beach in Goa. We are crushing over every single outfit worn by not only the bride, but also the groom! They met each other at Purvi’s cousin’s wedding. Soon they were lost in a world of their own and as they say, rest is history!
The Groom says..
We wanted a very fun filled affair but we wanted it our way, doing it in Goa and doing it by the beach was definitely is what we both wanted. So after months of sourcing for properties we narrowed it down to Holiday inn at Goa. It is a beautiful place with a quaint reception and veranda, lots of greenery and a scenic pool . So when I discussed this with Purvi she loved everything about this property. Since we wanted different location and set up for all the functions, Holiday Inn was just perfect. It ticked a lot of boxes for us. It was like our dream come true.
About the engagement and sangeet..
We had a very English set up for our engagement on the beach with lavender and white flower gate and Tiffany chairs, we wanted a sunset engagement so we started at 6:30pm. Purvi walked the aisle with her father and I walked with my mother, escorted by two kids from my family with cute quote boards. We had a very quick ring ceremony with an interesting colour sand concept also a mandolin player making the evening perfect and cozy.
It was then followed by sangeet which was an lit event at lawns, with fairy lights decor over tables and a tunnel to walk by. Our sangeet was very Bollywoodish and fun. We played our entire story in form of dances. We also played some real clips which we had randomly shot as memories. I wanted my guests to enjoy the entire event so I made sure I keep it short and interesting.
About the wedding..
Our pheras was planned by the beach with a perfect view. We wanted to give a very traditional touch to the set but we also made sure we use subtle colours. We made a tomb Mantap with flowers all over and frames at either side, we had our personal curated space just for us and our family and closest friends sitting by our side on finely placed deewans. Small pops of deep colours with greenery and pastel tones were the highlight of the event.
We didn’t want to coordinate with each other’s outfit because it’s too cliche hence we co-ordinated our outfits with our decor. We also had our #AaRvi monogram in every event and on our invite.
