Kunal & Karishma Delhi : An Outstanding Marriage Ceremony With A Vibrant Decor

As different as chalk and cheese, Karishma and Kunal were hooked, cooked and booked by their parents. They wanted a pure, simple and elegant Gujarati wedding but witnessing the extraordinary setting of this marriage, they surely managed to pull of something surreal.

The couple wanted to synchronize the décor with their outfits and appearance. Series of jasmine flowers suspended from the mesh-like mandap with rose ends, casted a visual spell to everyone present there. The Saat Pheras occurred right under this mandap, where the strings and threads of flowers swayed rhythmically with the wind. Karishma wore a bridal couture lehenga from the house of Jade. The spontaneously chosen lehenga had blush pink gradation, with free flowing detailed embroidery. Kunal effortlessly pulled off a beige shervani with a stylish multi-tone turban and a red velvet dupatta. Describing her experience the bride quips, “I didn’t understand the sentiments behind the Saat Pheras, but within the first ten minutes in the mandap, I was crying my eyes out”. Their marriage also had fun rituals like ‘Joota Chupai’ and ‘Naak Khichai’ – the Bride’s friends basked in their glory, as they raised 1000 rupee notes high in the air, after winning the bargain with the groom.

For the newlyweds, the couple’s only advice is to cherish each and every moment of the day. Enjoy the entire experience, energy and love because you won’t get to feel the same for a very long time.
