Badminton Star Saina Nehwal is all set to marry her BF Parupalli Kashyap in December!

It seems to be raining weddings in the sports world too, and I for one literally Can’t Keep Calm. Right after the Dangal girl surprised her fans with her surprise proposal, it seems things are getting heated in the Badminton world too.

Cupid seems to have struck another ‘sporting’ couple and congratulations are due for the badminton champion Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap who are all geared up to get hitched in December.

The Nehwal-Kashyap bond will mark another alliance inside Indian sports fraternity after Dinesh Karthik-Dipika Palikal, Ishant Sharma-Pratima Singh, Geeta Phogat-Pawan Kumar and Sakshi Malik-Satyawart Kadian.  

The wedding:

According to TOI, the couple will tie the knot on December 16 and it will be a private affair for both the families with about 100 guests on the invitation list. A big wedding reception is also planned on 21st December.

Who is Parupalli Kashyap:

Parupalli Kashyap is a 2014, Commonwealth Games gold medalist and a mean guy on court. P.S his world ranking is No. 6.

Although, he is more than just a badminton player – he is an Arjuna Awardee as well. He created history by becoming the first Indian to reach the men’s singles quarterfinals at the 2012 London Olympics as well.

Their love story:

The two met at the coach Pullela Gopichand’s badminton academy in 2005 where the two trained together. Back in 2017, when he injured himself severely, it was Saina who helped him recover from the same.

Ahhhhhh, get married already you guys!
