10 Unconventional Hill Stations in India for a Perfect Honeymoon!

Your laptop screen has innumerable tabs open, each with a page of a different hill station across the country. You are searching for a perfect honeymoon getaway. You book the tickets, plan the trip and finally arrive at your destination.

Umm, but what do you find? No peace, no tranquility and definitely no privacy!

Now imagine having such a honeymoon.

You need not worry, I have sorted out pretty much everything for you. I’ve handpicked a few beautiful, less crowded, unconventional hill station spots for you, to spend some quiet and quality time:

Barog is an emerging hot spot for vacations and honeymoons and it is rapidly gaining popularity. It’s no longer just a weekend getaway for Delhiites, but its picturesque settings, its pine woods and the history around its famous rail tunnel, makes it a good pick for a quiet honeymoon. It’s a good choice, especially if you want to ditch going to the conventional Kasauli, and try something different instead.

2. Narkanda

If your honeymoon happens to be anywhere between March and July, this is a good pick to enjoy your better half’s company amidst mesmerizing views and tranquility! Except for extreme winters and monsoon, you can enjoy paragliding throughout the year, along with winter sports like skiing in December and January.

But it’s view is not the only thing that makes this place special. There are quite a few places you could explore at Narkanda- The Jalori pass, the Mahamaya temple, the Stoke farm and the Tannu Jubbar lake.

3. Chail

Roughly an hour’s drive away from Kufri, a popular hill station and an alternative to Shimla, Chail has a view to die for. You could spend a pleasant, romantic time at this hill station, which is located on the slopes, overseeing an ocean of pine and apricot trees.

You, your partner and a breathtaking view, what more do you want?
