33 Years of AJSK – Is All The Wedding Wear Inspo You Need for your 2019 Wedding!

Can’t believe it’s more than three decades of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla already!! Yes, you read it right, the ace designer duo recently celebrated their 33rd anniversary at Signature Island by Sunteck Realty in Mumbai on 5th September 2019 and as it can be expected, it had the who’s who of the fashion world on and off the runway!

I mean, just imagine 90 models in the likes of Sheetal Mallar, Carol Gracias, and Anna Bredemeyer to name a few, 130 ensembles, 25 dancers and the B-town megastar Deepika Padukone closing the show herself! While that was the ramp, here’s the whos who of the fashion and Bollywood industry who graced the guestlist. The names include – Karan Johar, the Bachchan family (minus Amitabh Bachchan), Twinkle Khanna, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Susanne Khan, Isha Ambani Piramal, Shloka Akash Ambani, Natasha Poonawalla, Shanaya Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Radhika Merchant and others to name a few.

The whole show was a treat to watch and it sure gave gave the world some major shaadi wear inspiration from bridal wear to bridesmaids to ‘what to wear to a shaadi’. Scroll down to know more!

Deepika Padukone:

Let’s start queen D, of course! Aj and SK left the best for the last and no wonder, Deepika strutted on the runway wearing the most ethereal, never-seen-before lehenga… She looked surreal in a rose gold chikankari,  heavily embellished lehenga with a dramatic veil. Abu and Sandeep are well known for their chikankari love and this ensemble was a perfect tribute to the art and craft of chikankari.

Isha Ambani looked stunning in this modern take on the black saree with a bold twist featuring cascading silver sequins work.
