A Love Story Beyond Borders: Bianca and Saima

In a society where marriage is trapped in the shackles of age, religion, gender, caste, colour, and money; this inter-religion Lesbian couple broke all barriers and set love free!

Colombian-Indian Christian Bianca Maieli and Pakistani Muslim Saima met at a spoken word performance in America and that is when cupid struck instantly.

So, without much delay, here’s a glimpse into their inspiration and beautiful wedding ceremony:

When I first laid my eyes on these beautiful, regal pictures, I couldn’t help but stop myself swooning over them. The infusion of different cultures and traditions is what made this wedding drool-worthy. This wedding has caught massive attention, and for all the right reasons – ever since the couple’s snaps have broken the internet!

Bianca wore an elegant ivory saree with gold embellishments and printed floral motifs. She paired this with stunning pearl jewellery and an offbeat choodha set. The bride kept her hair and makeup simple and subtle.

Saima, the other bride, made her mark by donning a black sherwani, replete with gold work on one side and floral embroidery on the other. She added finishing touches to the ensemble with a matching stole, a pearl necklace, and aviator glasses.

There was a baraat, wherein Saima and Bianca both made grand entries. The couple’s friends and families seemed to be having a gala time. The wedding ceremony was a rather intimate one, held at Bianca’s dad’s backyard. It was a mix of simple and regal.

The couple also had a beautiful mehendi ceremony, prior to the wedding. Both the brides were seen twinning in shades of pink. While Bianca sported a pink and silver lehenga, Saima wore a beige kurta and pyjama, paired with a pink brocade jacket.
