A Proposal in Paris: Prerna and Ankur’s New Beginnings

When I read Ankur and Prerna’s story, these were the dialogues that first came to my mind. So very true, don’t you think? Imagine a chance meeting turning into a lifetime of love! SO mushy <3

So, let’s see how things unravelled for the couple –

Ankur met Prerna online through mutual contact and got chatting with each other. In the very first few days itself, they felt a connection and something ‘clicked’ for them. And surprisingly, they hadn’t even met! Plus, meeting each other needed a lot of planning as Ankur was based in the USA while Prerna lived in France. Therefore, they had to wait for two months before their first meeting. “She was visiting the USA for a “vacation” which was planned before we even knew each other. This was clearly destiny bringing us together!” says Ankur.

So, while Prerna was under the impression that they would do a fun couple’s photoshoot, Ankur had more on his mind. Given their long-distance relationship and months of staying apart, one thing he wanted to make sure was to seal the deal with his lovely Prerna. Therefore, he planned a surprise proposal and the very fact that they going to be in Paris just happened to be an added bonus.

As they arrived in Paris, both of them were really excited. They met their photographer, Vio at the designated meeting place. “As we walked up the stairs of the Trocadero, Voila, the sun had come out from behind the clouds. The brilliance of the bright sunshine and the magnificent Eiffel standing tall merged into a single joyous and spirited impression, creating a dreamy sight to behold,” says Ankur.

It’s like the Universe was helping Ankur make this proposal a super dreamy one for his lady love!

As the photographer Vio set up his camera to test the lighting, they both got ready to pose. And being in love, they were very comfortable in each other’s presence, hence, the candid shots were easy to come. A few minutes later, Vio asked, “Guys, are you ready for the best shot?” Prerna smiled and turned towards Vio, asking him, “What’s the best shot”? As she turned back to Ankur, she saw him holding a card, a handmade one at that. Taking the card from him, she excitedly asked, “Heyyyyy! What’s this for?” I smiled, looked into her eyes and gave her the card. As she opened it, I went down on my knees and popped the question.” Says Ankur.

This is how the proposal went:

“You make me happier than I ever thought I could be, and if you’ll let
me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.
Let’s grow old together?” The words froze in her mouth as she hustled down to
kiss me. Time had indeed stopped for the two of us.”

Gosh, we suggest you keep the tissues handy, folks! Can anything be more romantic? Even the simplest of things need much planning and thankfully, it paid off! We hope this is the very start of Ankur & Prerna’s happily-ever-after and we can’t wait for the wedding to happen!
