Hemanth & Aksha Goa : With rustic and refreshing decor ideas, this wedding exhibited a sense of serenity and minimalism.
This destination wedding at Goa was way beyond just the beaches, and for all the right reasons! The varied themes, the rustic decor, and the traditional South Indian flavour with a contemporary twist made this wedding a drool-worthy affair.
The Wedding Festivities
Haldi
Green palms complemented by a Mughal-inspired wooden backdrop served as a refreshing decor element at the couple’s Haldi ceremony. The traditional South Indian aesthetics and elements added to the culturally rich wedding function.
Hemanth, the groom, was dressed in a semi-casual light blue printed kurta paired with blue jeans, while his family donned understated yellow outfits.
Mehendi
The sundowner mehendi ceremony was a treat to the eyes, whether it was the minimal outfits or the Boho garden decor. Aksha, the bride was dressed in a subtle ochre-yellow suit, while Hemanth kept it casual in a printed shirt and shorts.
The guests were treated to a delectable lunch by the pool. The dining area looked every bit gorgeous with macrame upholstery and table overlays. Bamboo rugs, suspended dreamcatchers, crimson florals, vintage tables, and pastel cushions made up for a perfect mehendi ceremony!
Wedding
Aksha wore a traditional Kasavu- a white and gold saree, while Hemanth wore a white mundu paired with a white kurta.
The courtyard wedding was a perfect rustic setting for the nuptials, with a pristine suspended floral canopy, which formed the mandap. The wedding saw a mix of South Indian traditional decor elements with a contemporary twist of elegance! Bedecked with white flowers and lush greens, the courtyard looked like a dream. Elements like gold urlis filled with white flower petals were pretty bespoke details, which stole the show.
Reception
Amidst lush greenery and wild blooms, the couple held their reception extremely close to nature. The Japanese Zen Garden set up replete with florals was a treat to the eyes! The seating area looked scintillating with a canopy of fairy lights suspended overhead. The bamboo accents and candles added to the warm look.
