#AnissaMaanGayi: Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra get Hitched!

2020 has finally witnessed its first Bollywood wedding with actor Armaan Jain and stylist Anissa Malhotra tying the knot. As is in any film industry wedding, it was a star-studded affair with every individual and every couple bringing in some major fashion and wedding outfit inspiration. 

The last few days, social media has been brightly lit with #AnissaMaanGayi and #ArmaanKiShaadi trending everywhere displaying performances and images from the incredible wedding celebrations. It has been a grand and whirlwind affair with the two looking so adorable in love and the stars of the film industry keeping up the excitement with complete participation in the festivities. Let’s take a look at all the wedding shenanigans that have taken place during the last few days:

The Couple

Armaan and Anissa are childhood friends who have known each other since they were three years old. They even studied together at the Cathedral & John Connon School in Fort, Mumbai. In 2014, rumours were rife of the two being in a romantic relationship but at the time, Armaan shut them down. Cut to three years later, Armaan finally admitted to being in a relationship with Anissa for seven years with an adorable Instagram post.

For the Mehendi ceremony, Anissa wore an apple green circular skirt, hand-embroidered with bold silver and gold abla motifs, paired with an organza stole and sleeveless blouse and accessorised the look with fresh florals. On the other hand, Armaan Jain wore a textured cream sherwani with white churidars. 

The wedding ceremony was undeniably a grand affair with numerous Bollywood celebrities in sight. Anissa wore a stunning red Sabyasachi lehenga featuring intricate floral motifs and embroidery. Sticking to classic combinations, Anissa wore an ethereal emerald jewellery set. Armaan wore a white sherwani with silver work and accessorised his look with a beige safa. 

The Wedding was followed by a shimmering and shining Cocktail Night where Anissa went for a sparkling silver lehenga while Armaan opted for a black sherwani with trousers and accessorised his look with matching mojris and a black velvet shawl.

The Baraatis

If your baraat includes Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, expect a lot of dhamaka and shor-sharaba! Karisma was an absolute delight at the Mehendi ceremony, donning a Raw Mango outfit. Kareena Kapoor Khan was nowhere in sight but the rest of the Kapoor clan were seen at the pre-wedding ceremony. 

For the wedding ceremony, Karisma and Kareena did not disappoint as the baraatis. Lolo went with a bubblegum pink silk saree while Bebo kept it classy in a Pitambari yellow leheriya saree and was accompanied by her adorable son and the nation’s heartthrob, Taimur in a blue kurta.

For the glamorous cocktail night, Karisma, Kareena and Karan opted for Manish Malhotra outfits. They set the stage on fire with Kareena reliving her ‘Poo’ moment from K3G and dancing to Bole Chudiyaan with Karisma. KJo also joined the two on stage and then danced away to Kajra Re with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan.

The Guests

Considering this is the first major wedding of 2020, all guests were dressed to impress and served some major fashion inspiration. From Tara Sutaria’s blush pink and silver lehenga for the wedding ceremony to Kiara Advani’s metallic ensemble for the cocktail night, every film industry celebrity put their best and fashionable foot forward for this extravagant event!
