What are the odds that two people meet, fall in love and then decide to get married amidst a pandemic? Well, Ankita and Akshan an Indian couple based in San Francisco are the type to take the plunge during all this chaos… and we are so happy with their decision!
Ankita and Akshan’s love story began when they met each other through common friends. Ankita, who works at Google as a program manager got along well with Akshan, an engineer at Bloomberg. And they both had a common thread – they both belonged to Chandigarh in India.
Soon they started dating and within two years, they knew they were meant to be! However, the wedding plans were delayed thanks to the COVID 19 pandemic. But somehow, they both wanted to be together and solemnize their relationship. Therefore, in the middle of all the chaos thanks to the pandemic, they decided to have an intimate lockdown Hindu wedding ceremony.
Here are some highlights:
For their intimate home wedding on 3rd August 2020, Ankita wore a stunning Astha Narang lehenga in baby pink. Her lehenga featured floral embroidery in sequins while the blouse was entirely made of sequins too. She completed her look with a lose bridal bun with flowers and polki jewellery.
Akshan wore a Sabyasachi white bandhgala with a coral pink Benarasi stole in contrast to his bride’s pink lehenga.
