Imagine this – the entire world is in a lockdown and the government has just announced Unlock Phase 1.0 and you grab this opportunity to get married… but this is not it. You plan a quick destination wedding and what’s more your wedding happens to be the very first lockdown destination wedding!
Yes, this is exactly how our couple Kevin and Dhwani wedding story begins…
Kevin and Dhwani had planned a grand ‘Big Fat Gujju’ wedding for themselves but the pandemic had other plans. While this was upsetting, they did not give up hope. Therefore, as soon as the government announced the unlock phase 1.0, they gathered their family together to head to Saputara in Gujarat to celebrate their intimate lockdown destination wedding!
Therefore, with careful planning, considering all Government norms, keeping sanitisation and safety as their main priority, they tied the knot at Sunotel Resort, Saputara on 1st June 2020.
Weddings are often considered events where families and friends come together to enjoy big celebrations but given the situation, the couple and their families ensured that their wedding was an intimate one where all social distancing norms were followed. And who knew that such strong and determined love for each other could turn this event as one of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime!
The Wedding
For their intimate mehendi ceremony, Dhwani looked like a gypsy princess in her yellow and grey lehenga outfit. Her lehenga hem featured a silver sequin border and she completed her look with stunning silver jewellery.
For her sangeet ceremony, Dhwani stunned in a teal blue gown while Kevin wore a grey bandhgala to match her.
For the Haldi ceremony, she wore a bright yellow ensemble and red and white floral jewellery.
For the main wedding ceremony, Dhwani looked like a princess in her red wedding lehenga. She completed her look with heavy gold jewellery with polki and emeralds, and a heavy gold matha patti.
The groom wore an embroidered sherwani in green with matching safa and kalgi.
