Real Bride Prianka’s Bridal Wear Inspiration for Mehendi, Sangeet & More!
Taking cues from our Real bride Prianka and Roadie Rannvijay’s destination wedding held at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort- Mombasa, Kenya whose wedding and bridal wear choices inspired us endlessly. Right from the pre-wedding shoot held on the beach upto the wedding day itself, captured beautifully by PK Suri and his team, Prianka serves as perfect bridal wear inspiration for Indian brides to be all over the world. Her choice of outfits for each event was well thought of, conceptualized with the theme of every event – proving to us yet again that you can never go wrong with clothes that match your wedding theme! She was the quintessential Punjabi bride, with her dense choora, long hair, flowy lehengas and polki jewellery. When it came to picking all her bridal wear, she chose designers who were also her friends, which made each outfit even more special.
Pristine White Pre Wedding
Prianka wore a flowy pristine white floor length gown by Cherie D. A straight cut strapless gown with linear sequins and shimmery bead work on the bodice was a perfect pick for their beach pre-wedding shoot. The breezy, white sand beach in Mombasa and this dreamy couple in white – it was a sight to behold! They changed it up a bit for their shoot around the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort- Mombasa, Kenya – kept the clean theme of white with Prianka in a playsuit with an embellished neckline and nude heels.
Canary Yellow Sangeet
Their outdoor night time sangeet ceremony venue had a candescent effect. The entire space was decorated with candles, hanging lanterns, yellow gold and white drapes, yellow roses paired with white lilies all under a starry sky. Prianka stunned in a bright yellow fully embroidered sangeet lehenga adorned with silver and rose gold mirror work designed by her friend and celebrity designer Sherina Dalmal (Cherie D – Label)
Comfortable Mehndi
Prianka opted to do her full foot mehndi first dressed in a pretty coral lace shorts and a summer-y white blouse and later dressed it up for her mehndi ceremony in full swing. A great idea to opt for, future brides-to-be! Getting a full foot bridal mehndi done is a lengthy process – prianka saved on time and had her foot mehndi done first and then went on to get her hands drawn on later with her choora ceremony.
Coral And Peach Chooda Ceremony
An airy outdoor mehndi set up with loads of peach! Prianka’s choora and mehndi ceremony had an abundance of peach drapes, fresh flowers that matched and fuchsia roses that added a beautiful contrast. Her peachy-orange and Gold Gaunta work lehenga (from her personal collection) perfectly went with her entire outdoor mehndi set up. Her long deep brown hair was also wrapped in white mogra and peach flowers too. Once her mehndi was dried up and started to gain a deep color, Prianka’s sisters and friends tied the kalire to her chooda – symbolic of the good wishes.
PS – Prianka’s dense Kalire definitely has us swooning like never before!
Pretty Chantilly Wedding
Prianka’s wedding lengha was made in a gorgeous hue of champagne and gold with chantilly lace. Hand embroidered to perfection with swarovski pearl motifs and sparkly stones and crystal embellishments. Her veil (also the dupatta over her head) was a sheer dupatta adorned with sequinned overlap technique embroidery in subtle gold subtle – so classic. This laced beauty was whipped up by Delhi based designer, Vandana Malhotra (label name – SVAM)
