What stood out the most, however, was the fun that family and friends had at every ceremony. Read on to know more about this ethereal couple, who stole our hearts…
About the couple
Shreya and Bharat met last year, in a quintessential arranged marriage scenario. Their respective parents took the decision and ensured both of them found their soulmates.
The Wedding Festivities
Mehendi and Haldi
For the Mehendi ceremony, Shreya flaunted a baby pink elegant and simplistic lehenga, paired with some delicate floral jewellery. Whereas, Bharat wore a light yellow kurta churidar and a jacket with floral motifs. The decor was understated, only with pink drapes and tiny fairy lights.
The bride wore a beautiful orange, yellow and fuschia pink traditional silk saree for her haldi ceremony, while the groom donned a monotone orange kurta. It was a close, intimate affair with loads of fun, flower showers and masti.
Beach Carnival
Such an interesting and unique outdoor function idea! This bride and groom had a chilled-out beach carnival with fun games, everyone wearing different hues of blue and hawaiin garlands, and loads of balloons. The main idea was to have an awesome time, ditching the wedding ‘taam-jhaam’ and relaxing a bit. The decor comprised of cabana-like seating arrangements for the guests.
The bride wore a stitched unconventional turquoise saree, with a lace blouse and paired with matching jewellery. The groom looked dapper in a light turquoise kurta with motifs and a plain white churidar. His attire complemented the bride’s extremely well.
Sangeet and Wedding
A sangeet function is distinguished by the naach-gaana, the fun and the overload of entertainment. The groom wore a heavily embroidered sherwani, while the bride donned a dusty pink lehenga. But it was their performances which truly stole the show! Floral arrangements and grand chandelier made the decor stand out.
For the wedding, the bride looked like a million bucks in a yellow and light red lehenga with heavy embroidery. She paired it with a statement gold and ruby choker, a necklace and an elegant maathapatti. The groom wore a salmon pink sherwani, with three contrasting necklaces.
