Roshan & Gayatri Mumbai : Themed functions, lots of celebration and grandeur – this couple got hitched in a regal way!

Roshan & Gayatri Mumbai : Themed functions, lots of celebration and grandeur – this couple got hitched in a regal way!

Gayatri and Roshan tied the knot at Panvel in a typical, traditional Maharashtrian-style wedding. It was a grand palace wedding, with a different, elaborate theme for every function. The colours, the vibe, the outfits and the grand decoration, all of this collectively made this it stand out.

Their Story..

It all started when the couple met for the first time in Mumbai at a common friend’s party. They met very casually and thereafter they never even spoke again. Roshan had flown down from U.S.A, while at that time Gayatri was practicing dentistry. Little did they know that destiny would play its part and unite them in the most unimaginable way possible. Don’t believe us? Read on…

Gayatri went to Boston to complete her further studies and she accidentally bumped into him at a cafe. Another casual meeting and exchange of numbers. But, this time they stayed in touch! Within a span of just 3 months they knew they were made for each other.

They returned to India during the Christmas break and when their families approved, they decided to tie the knot.

What a love story!!

The Wedding..

The bride was very eager that she always wanted a palace wedding. This is something she definitely didn’t want to compromise on. When we think of a palace wedding we immediately connect it to a Jaipur or Udaipur wedding and so did the couple. But the distance and the fact that it would be cumbersome for friends and family from Mumbai to travel made them change their mind. But only the location changed and not the theme! The couple’s family did a fab job and found a location for them that made them so happy that they could tick off all their desires from the checklist!

There were a host of functions with different themes and we completely fell in love with each and every one of them.

For the haldi, there was a Rajasthani mela theme- umbrellas, flowers and a whole lot of YELLOW! For the sangeet, the bride and groom decided to have a royal Bollywood night, while for the reception they stuck to a royal theme.

The couple couldn’t physically be present while the wedding was being planned, reason being they both were at Boston, however, their families and friends made it happen!!!

Nonetheless, they were a part of the entire planning and decision-making process. While family took care of venues, catering and accomodation, friends took care of getting vendors for makeup, jewellery and dresses. They would share the instagram handles with Gayatri, making it easier for her to shortlist the vendors that would be suitable to make her D-day more exciting!

The bride and groom looked stunning at each and every function. From the outfits to the jewellery- everything was perfect, well thought about and inspiring. This wedding is major goals for any to-be-couple.
