10 Pretty Punjabi Outfits for your Pehli Lohri

The festival of Lohri is just around the corner, on 13th January to be precise. For all those ladies who already know what Lohri is all about and are geared to celebrate this festival, know how important and full of life this festival can get!

For the rest, Lohri is a popular winter folk festival celebrated by Sikhs and Hindus, primarily across the northern part of the country. The festival signifies the passing of the winter solstice and is marked by celebrations that include a bonfire and lip-smacking food.

Apart from all this, it is extremely important for everyone to decide what they are wearing on this momentous occasion, especially the newlywed brides, who are celebrating their first Lohri.

From Punjabi suits with palazzos to shararas and ghararas to wearing kurtas with Patialas, there is a variety of options you can pick from.  For all the ladies who are a tad bit about what to wear and have no time to experiment, here are some pretty outfits that you can choose from:

1.Firozi Blue Kurta Set

This firozi blue chanderi silk kurta set is an ideal pick for brides who want to don something extravagant on their first Lohri. Wrought with zardozi and marodi embroidery, the motifs on this outfit are inspired by vintage Persian carpets and samples of Kashmiri tilla embroidery. The kurta is paired with a matching silk palazzo and a tulle dupatta.

2.  Burgundy Kurta Set

I am swooning over this Tisya Set from the Winter Velvet collection of ace designer Anita Dongre. The elegant hue, the heavy silver embroidery, and the minimal jewellery make it an outfit you can definitely consider for your Lohri. It is neither too OTT and neither too understated. The best part is since it is a velvet set, you won’t end up feeling too cold either.

3. Flattering in Florals
