Still, confused about how your makeup should be? If you answered yes, we totally understand. We know that it’s quite fun to be getting ready for your big day but it’s important to get the makeup right. How can you get that, you ask? By speaking to experts, of course!
While there are a number of makeup artists out there to share their stores and advice, there are only a handful of reliable, experienced and skilled makeup artists who will actually give you the right advice. One such talented makeup artist is Aliya Baig. She has years of experience in bridal makeup.
We got in touch with her and asked for some tips for you! Read on to know what she has to say:
1. What are the summer makeup shades to look out for this season?
Matte eye pencils are great to work with on the lids, especially for summers, in shades of browns. The new Kay by Katrina has some of the amazing shades you can try. You can add a pop of colour with the Huda Beauty liquid eyeshadows too, to bring out that summery vibe!
2. Share some tips for night makeup vs day makeup
Keep the skin fresh and minimal, irrespective of day or night. Never miss out on sunscreen in the day. Avoid black Kajal in the day. Can keep it for the night.
3. What are the best foundation brands + shades for Indian brides?
Foundation is a very personal choice and it also depends on the skin type and condition you own. MAC has a great range of foundations and is easily accessible too, from sheer liquids to buildable stick foundations in various shade ranges.
4. Should a bride keep an emergency makeup pouch with her? If yes, which products should she keep in the pouch?
Oh Yes! One should always think of the unexpected as a bride and be ready to face such situations! Especially all the summer brides out there, do carry blotting papers to keep that sweat and oil away! Else stock of plain tissues will work too! Small hair and safety pins will as well come handy.
5. Which are the go-to makeup products a new bride should carry in her honeymoon kit?
BB cream, concealer to brighten up, mascara, eyebrow pencil, lip gloss or lipstick whichever daily shades you wear the most and a setting spray!
