5 Songs that Should Never Consider for your Sangeet

Have you ever cringed and rolled your eyes as soon as you heard a song? Same, sister. Same. Some songs are utter bullshit and make no sense at all. For example- Ganpati Bappa Moriya, pareshan kare mujhe choriya. Lyrics are meaningless, music seems forced and the actors act as a cherry on the top. Why, why would you put us through this agony? Clearly, the lyrist is an 11-year-old school-going child who was asked to write a poem and like many children of his age, he thought rhyming is important. 

2. Gandi Baat

So if she says “hatt mawali” aur agar usne bhaav nahi diya toh he is allowed to do ‘gandi baat’? Why do we put up with such toxicity in the first place?!

3. Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast

Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast is not a romantic song expressing love and affection. Inspired by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s qawwali Dum Mast Kalandar, this horrible song praises a woman and calls her a ‘cheez.’ Geez!

4. Chalti Hai Kya Nau se Barah

First Salman now Varun. Unless you are also snorting lines before the performance, do not come on the stage to rip your shirt off and show us your steroids wale muscles.

Girl, why would you want to stay with someone who doesn’t even let you drink water? Don’t ignore this red flag, lady!
