5 Things Every Guest Remembers at an Indian Wedding
The wedding planning process might seem all fun and games from the outside, but in reality, it is hard work that not all the time leads to satisfaction. Planning a wedding is outright one of the most stressful events in the lives of most people. Apart from the 27904 rituals, choosing the right vendors, and arranging all the logistics, ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile (not a fake one) is also every couple’s and indirectly every vendor’s responsibility!
From the moment ‘wedding’ is said at any Indian household, every mama, Chachi, cousin and almost known relative gets into action. No one wants to spend a fortune (literally) and have people gossip and crib about the wedding, post the functions.
Now, whether it is you who is at the helm of affairs or your planner, some things cannot, I repeat cannot go wrong at an India shaadi.
Here is what guests ACTUALLY want:
1. Yummy Food
If you have 100 flowers missing no one will notice, but if the food is not up to the mark, guests will. We all know that the highlight of every Indian wedding is its generous spread of lip-smacking items. And yes, the guests want good taste and variety. If you have this sorted, you have won half the battle.
2. Dhinchak Music
No one wants to get bored out of their wits at your wedding, right? A dhamakedaar playlist or a wedding DJ won’t hurt, right?
It is important that people want to come to the dance floor willingly and end up having a rocking time!
3. Cocktails
“Teri shaadi mein drinks hai?”
Most of you must have asked this question to a friend or cousin who is about to get hitched. Now it is your turn to be asked this and it is crucial that your answer should be ‘YES’. Duh! What else do you think ‘unclejis’ do at the party?
4. Bride’s lehenga
Well, the groom will receive a whole lot of attention, but the bride will definitely steal the show on the D-day! Guests are more likely to remember what a bride dons for her wedding, how she was dressed, her jewellery, hair, makeup, etc. What were you thinking the ladies discuss during the pheras?
5. Photographer
Lastly, everyone wants to feel special at a wedding. Make sure you have a couple of photographers clicking the guests as well and they too get a chance to pose and get captured. This way guests enjoy the evening more and look forward to seeing the wedding album where they can spot themselves. Nobody likes a wedding where every photographer only runs after the couple :/
That is all for now folks!
Stay tuned for more shaadi gyaan by me.
