5 Things to Remember While Planning your Honeymoon
Going for a honeymoon is the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax and unwind after months of wedding preparations and the hustle and bustle revolving around the wedding festivities.
There is no certified formula for getting your honeymoon right! Apart from choosing an exotic location, there are various other but unavoidable things you must keep in mind
Here is a list you should keep handy if you are planning you’re honeymoon anytime soon:
1. Don’t do anything last minute
With the wedding planning in full swing, it is likely that you tend to sideline planning for your honeymoon. Now, by planning I don’t mean there should be nothing spontaneous, however, the key to an enjoyable and stress-free honeymoon is not to have too many last-minute things to do. It is best to plan in advance to reap benefits like better packages and more time for research.
2. Don’t plan anything alone
Even if your fiance puts the responsibility of planning on you, make sure he/she is a part of the process. Discuss what the two of you expect in terms of preferred locations, sightseeing, hotel selection, cuisine, etc. It is better y’all discuss everything beforehand to avoid any arguments and chaos.
3. Customise it!
You may have gone through testimonials of people who have enjoyed their honeymoon at the same location that you want to explore or your best friend may have had a good experience there, however, don’t follow them to the T! Make sure you explore further and customise your honeymoon according to you and your partner and your likes, dislikes, and preferences. For example, if you are not too adventerous, its best to not sign up for too many activities, and scout for alternatives instead.
4. Stick to the budget
A honeymoon can get very costly and of course, you will want to splurge! 😛
However, make sure everything fits into the budget you started off with. Whether it is tickets, hotel expenses, shopping, etc, make use of coupon codes, ask for discounts and choose wisely!
5. Make sure there are surprises
Surprises should be a part of your honeymoon’s itinerary. Whether it is a cooking class, something like scuba diving or paragliding, or even a date to a high-end restaurant, make sure there is something special for your partner.
