Ahead of the big fat wedding, the Ambanis & Mehtas serve food to 2,000 children celebrating ‘Anna Seva’!
Ahead of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding, the Ambanis and Mehtas took part in a very auspicious Anna Seva ceremony last night and like any other event it was a delight to witness.
As part of the week-long celebrations, the Ambanis and Mehtas reportedly served dinner to over 2,000 children across orphanages and old age homes in Mumbai, and will continue to do so until March 13.
This charitable service seems to be a family tradition for the Ambanis now, who hosted a four-day long Anna Seva last year from December 7, right before Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding as well.
In Akash and Shloka’s honour, the Ambanis and Mehtas will also be donating groceries to these centres for a year post the wedding festivities.
From a few of the sweetest moments from the evening, I spotted Akash and Shloka posing for family pictures and they were just too cute to handle.
While Akash Ambani chose to wear an emerald green kurta paired with a jacket for the occasion, Shloka Mehta looked stunning in a beautifully embroidered rani pink kurta, which she paired with an orange dupatta and matching flared trousers.
According to IANS, last evening also saw a pre-sangeet ceremony at the Ambani’s Mumbai home, Antilia, with a special performance by singer Shreya Ghoshal.
Well well, let the festivities begin.
