Desperate times call for desperate measures, right? And the COVID-19 pandemic has ensured that everything that we took for granted or otherwise thought to be normal, is now a luxury! Especially when it comes to planning a wedding or even a proposal.
Yes, currently with all the chaos and the world in a lockdown situation, many weddings have been delayed, postponed and some, unfortunately, have been cancelled. With social distancing as the new norm, couples are also faced with separation anxiety. They aren’t allowed to meet one and another if they happen to live separately. This means some who had planned their dream proposal for their lady love have had to shelve the idea too.
But some couples got lucky, i.e., their better halves decided to seize the moment and go ahead with the proposal anyway! Seems legit, right? We are facing a pandemic and who knows when things would go back to being normal or will normal be the same? So, why not seal the deal and at least make sure you spend the rest of your life with the one you love dearly!

Desiree Jones was brilliantly proposed to by her fiancé who wore a PPE suit, complete with a mask and offered her the ring on a selfie-stick, maintaining all social distancing norms! On the other hand, Jones too was dressed in a PPE suit. He came bearing a ring and she came with disinfectants and a sanitiser. Post the cleansing rituals, she showed offer her ring!
2. When Toilet Paper is Bae

Okay, not entirely true but for this couple, toilet paper rolls did play a vital role in their proposal! This couple who run an Instagram account – Travel_Annamon shared their #Covidproposal story. He proposed to her with loo rolls and a big diamond ring-shaped balloon. Of course, their pup was in on it 😉
“Just got proposed with a toilet paper lei and a diamond ring balloon 😂 Who would’ve thought that COVID-19 would change my proposal 🤷🏻♀️ Nonetheless, he still made sure that this day would be special for both of us,” says Annamon.
P.S. If you are wondering why toilet paper, you are living under a rock! Clearly, the most essential thing after food & groceries right now is the toilet paper.
3. An Oscar-worthy Proposal

Now, this proposal is a whole lot of mush, love coupled with risk and danger! Watch the video to see how the man in love got help from a friend and reached his lady love’s balcony via a window cleaning lift wearing a mask, gloves and a PPE suit to propose to his beloved. Once he was inside the balcony, he quickly took off the suit, mask and gloves, went down on his knees, signing off his life to her! And in the background, you can see an ecstatic girl screaming, giggling and making other sounds. This one sure wins many awards, right?
