Sarthak & Florianne Delhi : When love knew no boundaries!

This applies to this cute couple Florianne and Sarthak who met over eight years ago. They had a long distance relationship for so many years but their love for each other only grew stronger with every passing day! Let me tell you more about their story.

How They Met 

The duo met a little over eight years ago while studying in the UK. They were inseparable for a year, after which Florianne had to go back to the Netherlands to finish her law degree. During the next seven years they traveled back and forth to see each other. They were thrilled to be beginning an exciting new chapter in their lives together.Their tale started in the UK and concluded in a multicultural grand wedding in India.

The Wedding Ceremonies

The three-day wedding celebrations began at the Leela Ambience with the “Neel-Angan” themed Sangeet ceremony. The next day began with a joyful Mehendi function in the afternoon followed by a kickass Cocktail event at A Dot’s Xs Club in the evening. Florianne’s family wasn’t going to be left behind. After all, it was their daughter’s wedding celebration. The amazing singer Mika Singh had everybody grooving to his tunes!

Both the families danced  to the tunes of the Funky Boys. Florianne looked radiant in a beige embroidered lehenga with pastel peach and blue accents. Sarthak was in sync with the theme in his blue bandhgala that he accessorized with a pink pocket square.

The Mehndi function was yet again a marvellous one with the theme Tropical Urban Spree. It was held in an open air venue, under a colourful canopy with floral elements. The couple had a state of art entry with colourful smoke bombs held by their families. Florianne looked stunning in a red salwar kurta while Sarthak kept it simple with a beige and golden coloured bandhgala. 

Celebrations continued the next day with the Haldi ceremony which was a very closed knit affair between the two families. Florianne wore cute minimalistic floral jewellery paired with a simple yellow kurta set while Sarthak matched her outfit wearing similar attire. Their happiness radiated for everyone to see and feel!  

Cocktail was the most happening event of the wedding! It was all glitzy and themed as ‘Color Me Wild’. All the guests were entertained by power packed performances from Mika Singh of “Sawan mei lag gayi aag” fame! We all know you cannot have a dull moment when he is in the house. There were more outstanding performances by Mansheel Gujral, DJ Ajay Nautiyal and Magician Shankar Bakshi. It rained Champagne and there was no end to dancing of course! Flashing lights, upbeat music and some amazing artists is all you need to rock the cocktail party and the couple did just that! They looked very cute together with Florianne wearing a white lehenga and Sarthak wearing a bow tie tuxedo. 

The wedding was held at the same venue as the sangeet but with a total make over! The stage was set up with a bed of roses and mirror work. The royal red and golden drapes along with the hanging chandeliers make the look very royal and sophisticated. There were performances by Shillong Chambers and a soulful chant by Ameya Dabli, which was crafted specially for the bride and groom, during the pheras gave the wedding a thoroughly traditional feel.

Florraine opted to go traditional with her look wearing a red and gold embroidered lehenga while Sarthak looked princely in his white bandhgala along with Motihaar and matching safa.
