Harkaran & Harsheen Delhi : The Punjabi Royal Wedding

Harkaran & Harsheen Delhi : The Punjabi Royal Wedding

When love is real, it finds a way…

How they met

Harsheen Narula Basra and Harkaran Singh Basra were just two strangers until their mutual friends introduced them in 2018. They were shy at first but soon started getting to know each other via social media. A few months down the line, Harkaran got to know that Harsheen’s family was looking for for a suitable match for her.

Something hit Harkaran; he couldn’t accept this and was disheartened that he couldn’t do anything about it since his family wasn’t ready to get him married. But he really liked Harsheen and couldn’t let her go.

He took matters in his own hands and expressed his feelings to her. Luckily, she felt the same way!

The Proposal

Harkaran didn’t delay anything! He spoke to his parents and planned a beautiful, memorable proposal for his lady love, Harsheen. He kept the proposal simple yet romantic. It was planned in a local cafe with some romantic background music. As he went down on one knee, Harsheen said ‘yes’!

Wedding Ceremonies

The couple had both their hands filled with the wedding responsibilities as they decided on planning it by themselves. They put a lot of time and effort in research to have the wedding of their dreams.

Engagement & Sagan

The engagement ceremony was full of glitter and glam! The couple opted for a modern theme with floral decor. Harsheen wore a lilac coloured gown while Harkaran chose a black and white suit with a pagadi that matched Harsheen’s outfit.

Mehendi

Harkaran arranged for a club-themed decor for his family while Harsheen chose floral decor. At her mehendi ceremony, they distributed floral maang tikkas and hand accessories to everyone.

Wedding

The baraat had a royal touch to it at the Seven Seas lawn in Delhi. The groom arrived on his ghodi and looked dapper! He was dressed to the nines in an ivory coloured sherwani with golden embroidery. He completed his look with matching juttis.

Harsheen wore a beautiful pink lehenga set with minimum makeup. She completed her look with gemstone-studded kundan jewellery. The stunning bride walked down to the mandap under a phoolon ki chaddar. The Anand Karaj ceremony took place at a local gurudwara.

The couple made sure to pamper their guests and had arranged for both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The couple truly looked royal!
