We are all well aware of the standard Indian love story. Boy meets girl. Boy does his best to woo the girl. Girl finally says ‘YES’. And, they live happily ever after…

This story was a bit different. When Mansi saw Apurva at work, all she wanted was to start a conversation him. One evening, she looked up for his number in the office database and sent a ‘Hi’ to him on Whatsapp, calculating that the worst thing possible would be no response at all!

What was slow to begin, was quick to blossom. Within weeks of Mansi’s speculative opening gambit, a good old-fashioned romance began to take shape. With time the couple knew what they wanted. Nothing could take them apart. The families intervened and suggested the two should tie the knot. However, love doesn’t come easy, it comes with its share of problems and obstacles. Apurva had to immediately go abroad for work and the wedding was pushed back by a year. 

The year went by swiftly, for everyone except the hopeless romantics, who had held on to each other with the help of multiple calls, weekly video chats and, frequent meetings. 

The Wedding

On a mellow November afternoon, the couple got hitched in ‘Dilwalon ki Dilli’. Apurva wore a bandhgala sherwani, paired with a contrasting gold brooch and a printed safa. Mansi was dressed in a gorgeous baby pink lehenga skirt and an off-shoulder blouse. Her minimal makeup and elegant jewellery complemented her outfit extremely well! 

The overall decor was eloquent with floral backgrounds and bright floral chandeliers. Mantras were recited, rituals took place, and the couple exchanged vows.
