Gurpreet & Pankhuri Chandigarh : From bright yellows to the mellow pastels, Pankhuri and Gurpreet’s wedding was a riot of colours!

Pankhuri and Gurpreet got hitched in a beautiful wedding at a quaint resort in Chandigarh. They are the no fuss couple who managed to pull off a small wedding of 150 guests in the middle of the hills. A happy, cozy wedding makes us happy!

Their Story

Pankhuri and Gurpreet met in Melbourne four years ago via common friends. They got talking everyday, their friendship grew stronger and  they realised they would be amazing together as each day passed. Both of them never imagined sharing  a living space with anyone but once they started dating, they wanted to spend all their time with each other and that’s what made them realize that they are HOME for each other! Pankhuri quips,  “He is also a great cook and I am just too much fun for him so that was added incentive!”

The Wedding Planning..

It is a little difficult to plan a wedding that will take place in India while you yourself are in Australia! Pinterest came to the couple’s rescue and for 6 months they pinned and shared boards with each other for wedding inspiration. They finally found the perfect decor company- Colors Wedding Company who effortlessly brought all their pinterest boards to life! The bride said, “The one thing that we kept in mind was the wedding should reflect us as a couple, our personalities and how much we appreciate our family and friends taking out time to be a part of the biggest day of our life!”

Pankhuri says, “Fotowalle were our photographers. I booked them 4-5 months in advance, Kanupriya led the team and was very detailed in her discussions with me prior to the event. We had a 7 page excel document with timings and events and which team needed to be where- it was so professional. She gave me tips to give to the decor guy in terms of lighting backgrounds etc to make sure the pics turn out well.I trusted her with all my heart and soul and during the event the team was so professional and also super friendly- just like family! We got tired getting pictures clicked but they were always so energetic and so passionate. The pictures delivered so far are absolutely gorgeous! Cannot stop looking at them!”
