Nikhil & Pankhuri Dubai : This couple’s grand wedding is setting goals everywhere!

Pankhuri and Nikhil’s story starts in London way back in 2012. They met through common friends when she was doing her MBA. They kept in touch but only started dating in late 2015. Pankhuri knew he was the man for her cause never had she come across a man who made her laugh so hard or who cared about her deeply and loved her so much! Nikhil was and is equally smitten by his lady love!

While partying on the 31st December night of 2016, Nikhil asked Pankhuri to accompany him to the balcony. An unaware Pankhuri was taken aback when she looked down and saw hundreds of tealight candles on the ground and the words ‘Be Mine’ written across. Nikhil went down on his knee and Pankhuri immediately said yes!

After planning for nearly 5 months, this power couple could finally execute their dream wedding in May. Guests came from 20 different countries and were astonished with the hospitality they received and the grand wedding that they witnessed! Let us give you a glimpse of it-

Sangeet-

The sangeet was a bow tie event with ivory and gold decor with cherry blossoms. Pankhuri wore a custom 9 layered champagne gown from Esposa Couture while Nikhil wore a tuxedo by Dhruv Saigal. Take notes people, for their couple entry was spectacular! A minute before they entered the hall, their friends started singing the song ‘Jhumma Chumma’ and just after they said
“Aaja, aaja, aaja aaja!” they entered! Dances were followed with everybody enjoying themselves!

Wedding-

The wedding was held at the grand Madinat Jumeirah  with a traditional yet contemporary theme. Nikhil’s did not enter in a vintage car or a ghodi, but in the hands of 50 people! Nikhil’s 50 friends carried him inside the venue! Pankhuri definitely beat him to it. She entered on a boat, the traditional dhao as you call it in Arabi. It was a complete surprise for Nikhil! After the small nok-jhok  at the entrance the Punjabi wedding rituals took place. Even then Nikhil couldn’t help but pull her legs!
