Chiranjiv & Vasundhara Delhi : A classy Delhi wedding with a bride in a pretty pink Sabyasachi lehenga!
Vasundhara and Chiranjiv tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony held at Zorba, Delhi. The pretty bride in a pink Sabyasachi lehenga, the elegant decor and excellent photography by Mahima Bhatia made us reach out to them and ask them about their story!
The Love Story..
Vaundhara and Chiranjiv studied at the same university in Singapore but hit it off on a flight from Delhi to Singapore in 2010. They’ve been inseparable ever since! The couple has matching airplane tattoos that signifies the 3 years of long distance that they endured! We asked Vasundhara about what made them realise that they are meant for each other and she said, “We realised we are made for each other when we binged on chips after intense workouts. We were meant to be housemates!” They clearly define couple goals to us!
The Wedding Festivities..
Vasundhara maintains that they started preparing almost 11 months prior to their wedding. They would research extensively on weekdays and resort to the ground work on weekends.
Mehndi Ceremony
The wedding festivities started with a fun filled mehndi ceremony. Vasundhara looked radiant in a bright green banarasi lehenga paired with chandbali maang tika. Sunflowers took over the usual genda phool decor. The guests seemed to have utmost fun at this fun and vibrant affair.
Sangeet Ceremony
For the sangeet Vasundhara and Chiranjiv coordinated their outfits. Chiranjiv was seen in a navy blue sherwani while Vasundhara wore a ink blue lehenga. The sangeet was galore with dance performances by their near and dear ones!
Haldi Ceremony
Draped in an orange bandhni saree, Vasundhara impressed us with the choice of outfit and unique floral jewellery at the haldi ceremony. White mogras and scarlet roses made Vasundhara’s floral jewellery quite unique. Like every haldi function, both the families did not spare the couple and smeared them with haldi all over!
The Wedding
The couple had two wedding ceremonies as Chiranjiv is a Sikh and Vasundhara is a Hindu. Vasundhara wore a pretty pink lehenga by Sabyasachi. We love her layered emerald necklace and choker kundan necklace! Chiranjiv wore an ivory sherwani and complimented his look with a pink safa and turban. Both Vasundhara and Chiranjiv wanted an intimate and cosy wedding. “We wanted a wedding where we’d have a high degree of involvement from each of our guests, which meant no spectators. So we made sure we delegated and made good use of the very talented entourage of friends and family that we have. Our wedding decor was in beautiful shades of patina and candy pink. It set the perfect backdrop for a day wedding and the concoction of our different cultures”
