Weddingz.in Joins Hands with Feeding India to Reduce Food Wastage
Weddingz.in, India’s largest Wedding company along with Feeding India is committed to identifying the sustainable & holistic solution of reducing wastage of food that otherwise would be wasted and making sure that the excess food is donated which is used for feeding people in need & hunger.
While catering during Holiday, Festive, Social or Corporate events, there is a large amount of food that is being prepared for hosting any event. But do you know, a lot of food which is not consumed during these events is being dumped?
Food waste has serious consequences for our environment. Food that ends up sitting in landfills each year releases methane gas as it rots, contributing to climate change. At the same time, food donation helps us avoid the tragedy of throwing away the food when one in six people struggle with hunger across India including children.
Food donation at Weddingz venue
Weddingz.in has partnered with Feeding India which is a not-for-profit social organization that aims to solve the food wastage problem by donating it to the needy.
Any event that is held at Weddingz venue, the event host / venue owner will have an opportunity to donate a certain number of plate along with the leftovers from their function. This entire transfer will be handled completely by the Venue Manager at site along with Feeding India team. The food transfer shall be distributed to shelter homes and to people in need of promoting ZERO WASTE policy.
