Meet Kishan and Aarti, the quirky couple who just got married at Devi Garh Palace, Udaipur in a quiet, intimate destination wedding. 

"Kishan and I had been friends for many years. Our friendship blossomed into romance and for two years we dated. The proposal was very unexpected, just as Kishan had planned, but ever so romantic. We knew we wanted to be together and with blessing from our parents we bought a flat and treated ourselves to a well deserved holiday on completion. I had a sneaky feeling he would ask me to marry him on New Years in Los Angeles. But this just isn’t Kish’s way, he was out for the shock factor. We collected the keys to our new home and as I opened the door to our home I turned round I found him on one knee, I looked at Kish in disbelief and as tears rolled down my face I nodded and said ‘yes’."

"Planning an international wedding was exciting as any other but of course it has its hidden dilemmas. Gujarat was the obvious starting point but it was Udaipur that captured our heart. Devi Garh took our breath away. It had the perfect blend of authentic regal architecture and a modern tasteful interior with a 5 star team at your beck and call. The head chef Sanjeev Sharma takes culinary arts to new heights, each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We were truly spoilt and to this day guests continue to remark on how incredible the food was."
