Vijay & Divya Mumbai : These lovebirds nailed it with colour co-ordinated clothes, multiple themes and a filmy love story!

Vijay & Divya Mumbai : These lovebirds nailed it with colour co-ordinated clothes, multiple themes and a filmy love story!

A bride who personally choreographed all the dance performances, colour coordinated clothes for every function and a ‘filmy’ love story – this wedding had it all!!

About the couple:

As filmy as it may sound, Divya and Vijay’s relationship started off on a rather ‘love-hate’ note!

In 2013, they met through a mutual friend and started talking with one another very casually. At first, they disliked each other.

Neither of them could imagine even be friends with the other, let alone falling madly in love. However, as time passed by, they became close friends from being mere acquaintances and before they even knew it, cupid had struck!!

While Vijay had found his soulmate instantly, it took Divya two long years to actually realize that Vijay was the one for her and she couldn’t imagine spending her life with anyone else.

Now that they were confident about being together, it was time to tell the same to their respective families. While Vijay’s family did not need to be convinced and had accepted Divya wholeheartedly, Divya’s parents weren’t quite sure about this decision their daughter had taken.

It took Divya two years to coax them into believing that Vijay was perfect for her. It was a long process and had its share of ups and downs, but this couple wasn’t ready to give up soon.

With the couple’s strong will and Divya’s friends trying their best to convince her parents, they soon began to realize that Vijay was a perfect match for Divya and gave their nod.

This was it! After all those tumultuous years of convincing, their efforts had materialized and before they knew it, it was time for them to get hitched!

The Wedding events..

Like most brides, Divya started feeling the pressure of planning, as the wedding date grew closer and closer. She stopped working a month prior to the wedding, as she had so much on her shoulders. For starters, she had taken up the responsibility of choreographing each and every dance performance that took place at the sangeet and reception functions, which was not a cake walk. Moreover, she was majorly responsible for decisions to be taken about the clothes, the functions, the themes and the venues.

Mehendi

The decor of each function was absolutely phenomenal.

The mehendi ceremony was full of colours, flowers, beautiful drapes and colourful tassels. It was cute, chic and not quite over-the-top. Everyone was dressed up in yellow to match the overall decor.

Engagement

The bride bedazzled everyone with her silver gown with baby pink ruffles. She looked nothing short of a princess from a fairytale!! The engagement function was indoors, thus it was kept more minimalistic, modern and classy! There wasn’t much of floral decor and it was rather understated and simple. There was a lot of dancing, drinking and loads of excitement!!!

Wedding

For the wedding, the bride had adorned a maroon velvet blouse with mirror work, a light pink veil and absolutely gorgeous jewellery. The groom complimented her well in his powder blue sherwani.

The bride reached the wedding venue in style- enjoying herself atop a silver carriage. The decor was majorly floral and rather traditional.

Reception

The bride and groom looked absolutely adorable at this function and one could not get enough of them! We were drooling over the shimmery silver gown, flaunted by the bride and the royal blue suit adorned by the groom. When we talk about a ‘match made in heaven’, this is what we mean.

With rustic archways leading to the stage, floral hangings, lots of flowers and a beautiful backdrop, the reception decor raised the bar!

The outfits that matched the decor, the floral decoration that lifted the mood and the bride who adorned some stunning and dazzling outfits- every aspect of this wedding floored us over!!
