Jurgen & Edna Udaipur : Chic Christian Destination Wedding held at Fategarh Udaipur

Edna and Jurgen decided to seal the deal on their nine year long relationship amidst a princely fort which spoke of undying elegance, now isn’t that the best way to do it? The vast courtyards, heritage structures coupled with the infinity pool, brought on an old world charm with contemporary feels to their wedding space at Fategarh Fort in Udaipur. Standing aloof on the top of the hill, it gave a view that made Edna and Jurgen’s wedding celebrations all the more romantic. A view of the beautiful sunset bordered by the skyline of the city – truly serene.

The fun and laughter of this cross-cultural wedding began with the boat ride on lake Pichola along with an intimate pre-wedding shoot held in the premises of the hotel itself. Dressed in casual day-time maxi dresses, Edna first opted for a butter yellow solid colored dress and then went on to experiment a little with florals – both looked absolutely gorgeous on her. What followed was the Mehndi and Sangeet ceremony and it was full-on desi, as us Indian would say.  A rustic indian theme where the vibrant yellow marigolds dominated. Rajasthani dancers and the ethnic cushions and gaddis made up a perfect ambience for a desi night.

After the traditional mehndi and sangeet ceremony, Edna and Jurgen exchanged their wedding vows in a catholic wedding style held at near the beautiful infinity pool. To add a desi touch to this Christian wedding affair, Jurgen came in on an elephant with a his baarat grooving to the beat of the dhol. Lemon yellow and pristine white set an elegant tone at this outdoor love-filled ceremony. Chairs had pretty yellow paper lanterns strung to them, and the entire aisle was decorated with white globe lanterns and defined with pretty yellow marigold flowers. Edna looked absolutely ravishing in a Chantilly lace white wedding gown which had a never-seen-before scalloped neckline.

The evening reception that followed was all things classy right from the table settings to the wedding cake. Illuminated with yellow hued lights that put a gorgeous focus on the white chrysanthemums and gladiolus set on gold frames on each table while the candles added a touch of romance – gold and white, always elegant always classy.
