Kulwant & Garima Mumbai : An Intimate Punjabi Wedding Ceremony
Kulwant and garima opted for an intimate engagement and wedding ceremony that was held in elegantly decorated indoor spaces. They wore traditional Punjabi wedding attire and tied the knot under the blessings of Wahe Guru, looking like two halves of a whole. Garima wore a red and beige lehenga that was gorgeously embellished with beads, sequins and intricate threadwork. Her jewellery added just the right touch of ethnicity to her entire bridal look, whether it was the maangtikka the over-sized nath or the gorgeous gold necklace. Kulwant too matched Garima perfectly in his red and gold brocade bandhgala sherwani. He paired his outfit with a matching crushed dupatta that had a bejeweled border.
The most emotional part of this wedding was the tear-jerking Vidaai ceremony. As the bride stepped out of the house, she threw back five hands full of rice over her head, in a way that it falls on the person standing right behind her, symbolizing prosperity and wealth. This custom of throwing rice signifies that the bride wishes for prosperity and abundance to always flourish in the house she is leaving behind.
Dipak Studios did an exceptional job in capturing every beautiful moment from Garima and Kulwant’s union.
