Ronak & Isha Mumbai : A fun, lavish wedding celebrating eternal romantics
Imagine a total filmy situation – a hot guy meets a beautiful girl in a nightclub and cupid strikes! Well, the rest, as they say is history. Pyaar toh hona hee tha…
Isha and Ronak the quintessential millennial couple had everything working out in their favour. Their love story was going great and when Ronak’s parents met her, they loved her instantly. And when the two sets of parents met, well, they just happened to gel really well. But Ronak did not want his love marriage to turn into an arranged marriage. And to undo the ‘arrange-marriage’ like situation, he planned an elaborate and super romantic proposal for Isha.
And here begins the fun part – a very nervous Ronak planned a surprise proposal for his lady love. And she almost did not want to come as she was unwell. But somehow, he got her to come to Four Seasons, Worli. He obviously hadn’t slept much and was really worried. She was unwell so there were chances things could go haywire. Ronak did not have any proposal speech ready. So, when Isha arrived, her initial reaction was a mixture of disbelief and shock which soon turned into all sweet mushiness as Ronak got down on his knees to propose to her Isha. And in all the chaos, the ring, albeit beautiful, was too loose for Isha! Nevertheless, the entire surprise proposal was a superhit!

Being the eternal romantics, they are, it came as no surprise that they planned to tie the knot on 14th of February, 2020.
And here is where the real fun begins…
The Wedding Festivities
As true-blue Mumbaikars, the couple’s wedding functions took place across top venues in the city.
They kicked off their wedding festivities with a fun pre-wedding Garba function, hosted at the Turf Lawns, Mahalaxmi. The theme for the Garba raas was colourful, very traditional Indian with ethnic umbrellas with tassels in Rajasthani style as décor. The idea was to recreate the ‘Sanedo vibe’.
To ensure that she stood out amidst all the colourful décor, Isha wore a stunning lehenga from designer Debyani and Co’s hand-embroidered lehenga with multicoloured thread work. She left her tresses in loose curls with red flowers. Ronak matched her style quotient in a smart kurta-pajama set with a colour, embroidered Nehru jacket.
For her Mehendi, a poolside affair hosted at the Fariyas Hotel in Colaba, Isha wore a beautiful red Anita Dongre Neysa lehenga. She accessorised her look with blue red and white floral jewellery. She styled her hair in a braid with flowers and whimsical blue butterflies. Ronak matched her yet again in a white and red kurta-bandi set. The décor and backdrop were super fun too. Taking a play on orange and yellow florals, marigolds strings were the highlight with orange in the backdrop with gold gota flowers.
The Big Day
Held at the Members Enclosure at the Turf Club, the wedding was fit was royalty! The theme of the ceremony helped set up the beautiful ambience with royal pink florals greeting one and all. Truly, it felt like the garden of Eden!
As for the bride – well, if there was ever a bride made of gold, Isha would be her! A gleaming gold goddess in a golden lehenga from Sabyasachi. She completed her look with a traditional bun ornamented with pink flowers. Like her lehenga, her polki jewellery was to die for! We loved the passa and mang tikka combination.
The Post-wedding Sangeet
After the beautiful wedding, it was time to party the night away! The post-wedding sangeet’s theme was very apt- disco balls and shimmer. With an eclectic décor as the backdrop, Isha stunned in a sparkly Manish Malhotra ensemble.
About her Ceremony outfits
“I manage PR and social-media for a ton of hair and make-up artists! For the last 2-3 years I’ve gauged my aesthetics and what I like when they send me content to post. When I stepped out to shop for my own wedding clothes, I just knew what would stand out and look different and what would work for my me.” – Isha
