Sandeep & Karishma Florence : Karishma and Sandeep recreated a royal Indian wedding in Florence, Italy!

Karishma and Sandeep tied the knot, recently, in a cross cultural wedding held at Florence, Italy. Surrounded by lush fields and a scenary we can’t take our eyes off of, the couple held their intimate Christian and Hindu ceremonies with minimal fuss and an generous dose of elegance. Infusing the royalty and tradition of an Indian wedding into the coolness of Florence, Italy, this couple has given us true goals on wedding planning!

The Couple

Upon being asked how they met, Karishma reminsced, “We met at work, where we sat next to each other for quite a few years. Despite our heated debates, we actually got to know each other’s worlds quite well. Eventually we stopped sitting together, and started working on different projects, however our paths continued to cross and we found ourselves rather inseparable!

That was the beginning i guess, and today’s our wedding day!”

The Venue

Karishma and Sandeep held both their wedding ceremonies in Florence, Italy. When it came to deciding their venue, Sandeep claims, “We were looking for something intimate, romantic and natural as possible. We fell in love with the natural landscape that backed onto the venue, this with their decor simply spoke for itself. All we needed was to be surrounded by the people we love to be ready to celebrate and dance the night away.”

Well, thier decision seems to be perfect for the look and feel that they were going for. Surrounded by plush fields, Florence, Italy was the perfect choice for this intimate wedding!

The Wedding

Choosing the vendors for your wedding is the most important task, for they decide what the final look and feel is going to be. Karishma advices, “Couples should be very selective with the partners and vendors they get on board, do their background checks and see for references online and offline. So we also want to make a special mention for our favourite partners:

Evolution Print & Design Ltd – Incredibly professional and covered everything from invitations, seating plan, menu to the Hindu ceremony guide.

We wanted something different to the traditional Indian artefacts, and the team understood our vision, and created unique new templates which resulted in us having something incredible.

Arinder Bhullar – Arinder is passionate about her job. She has a great boutique in the city centre which we visited multiple times to get inspiration. When I explained that I didn’t want the traditional bridal red outfit, she worked with me to step through some other pieces which we then pulled together details from and added some of my own personal requests.

Going Bananas Photography – Prasheila and Abhimanyu are now the family photographers. They covered Sandeep’s sister’s wedding in Jaipur and we were more than excited to have them out in Florence for ours!

Both of them really endeared themselves not only to us but to our entire families. Having already met them and spent 3 days with them in Jaipur, there was a real sense of familiarity and when we landed in Florence four days before the wedding, the both of them were there in tow. They spent nearly every waking moment hanging out with us, joking with our mums, and capturing moments we will treasure forever.
