Derek & Natasha Delhi : This bride got married at a private Chattarpur farmhouse and we can’t believe how cool it was!

How many of us have dreamed of wearing master couturier Tarun Tahiliani’s designs for our wedding? Well, how about being family friends with him and having your wedding hosted by him? Mindblown, right! That’s exactly what Natasha and Derek did for their intercultural wedding this year! Hosting an intimate Indian-style wedding at a private Chattarpur farmhouse, Natasha and Derek had the perfect 3 days surrounded by friends and family.

The couple

Natasha, or Tasha as her family calls her, fell in love with Derek, a Scottish man. “Derek is like the one thing that you hold onto in a world where everything is uncertain. In the midst of all this turmoil, it is his face that i look towards” says Natasha. 

“Every parent wants their child to end up with someone who will be there for them, through everything and will love them. When Derek made us meet Natasha, that’s exactly what we thought for the first time!” gushes Derek’s dad. “We’ve gotten to meet the most beautiful girl, kind and smart, with the warmest family”.

The Mehndi Function

The mehndi function at the farmhouse was as party-like as can be. We love how laidback, intimate and warm the affair was, attended only by the people the two families loved. From Natasha’s father roaming around with bindis on his face, to her mum singing traditional wedding folk songs, you would believe that this wedding was about only two things: love and family. 

“I am so grateful that everyone has put so much effort into planning this entire wedding. It’s beautiful! It’s exactly what i wanted and what i imagined” gushes the bride. 

Wedding Looks

Unlike a lot of brides, Natasha did not go heavily traditional throughout the wedding, choosing instead, to wear was she loved, whether it was with minimal jewellery or with shades. The rest of the wedding party followed suit. 

If we had to pick a look to be our favorite, other than her wedding lehenga, we would have to say it was the red kurta she wore for her mehndi, giving off undeniably chill vibes, while still maintaining a royal vibe thanks to the embroidery work. 

The wedding lehenga was the perfect combination of an indian wedding meets western minimalism. A powder blue lehenga with same colored chikan embroidery and a peach dupatta, completed with a kundan choker and earring set. Of course, Natasha wore the look with a dash of her own sass and easy grace.
