Karan & Rachel Jodhpur : Grandiosity filled Double Wedding held in Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur

Rachel and Karan definitely set the bar high where Big Fat Indian Weddings are concerned with their super-sized double wedding held in Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur, with twice the luck and twice the blessing. It isn’t too hard to tell that this gorgeous couple liked to live every moment, and live it big and hence; they chose to get married both the Christian and Hindu way. And as expected, their celebration brought about double the happiness, double the fun, double the glamour and double the grandiosity too!

Celebrations kick started with the elegant Christian church wedding which was followed by the grand outdoor reception. The church wedding was all things exquisite and graceful, with Rachel’s bridesmaids dressed in blush pink strapless floor length dresses and the beautiful Rachel in an A-line white wedding gown fully adorned with Chantilly lace. She paired minimal diamond jewellery with her gown and truly looked like a vision in white! While Karan donned an ash, black three-piece suit with a striped baby pink tie and floral corsage, to match the tasteful theme of the wedding. The laughter, dancing and all continued at the grand, and we mean GRAND evening reception that had all the elements of a picture perfect evening sit-down dinner. Long community tables set with chiavari chairs and floral centerpieces, beautifully lit lamps topped with an abundance of fresh flowers – this wedding reception was something that dreams are made of! The stunning bride leveled up with her jewellery game while she kept it classic in a silk-satin V neck white wedding gown.

Next up was the fully desi wedding that began with the electrifying sangeet that saw upbeat dance performances, lots of swirling lehengas and of, course the local sufi singers – all colorful, loud and fun. It was amazing to see Rachel pull of the traditional red and gold flared lehenga as well as she pulled of the elegant white gown. With jewellery and make up that made her look like a true princess of the Jodhpuri palaces she walked under a sheer red bridal chaddar to Karan who waited with bated breath to make Rachel all his (again).
