Varun & Sona Mumbai : South-Indian Wedding Filled with Loads of Tradtion and Tollywood Drama
A gorgeous bride with bright and beautiful eyes, a groom who complemented her just perfectly and a big happy family! What else do you need to make your wedding a memorable affair? Sona and Varun’s three-part wedding celebration was all this and more. Fun wedding rituals, gorgeous clothes and jewellery and an ever-smiling bride!
The haldi ceremony kick-started the wedding celebrations of this beautiful couple. Dressed in a pure white textured saree, Sona sat adorned in delicate jewellery studded with white drop pearls – which included a dainty maangtikka, necklace, earrings and a matching set of bangles. Celebrations continued with the sangeet ceremony for which the stunning bride-to-be wore a never-seen-before gold velvet lehenga! Might just sound too gaudy and loud, but it looked ravishing paired with her sheer red gota work dupatta and navy blue blouse. Her minimal chaandballi-styled earrings and maathapatti complemented her entire ensemble effortlessly!
For the traditional south-indian marriage, Sona donned a gold kanjivaram saree and paired it with a mix-matched red blouse and sheer red bridal dupatta. Her handsome groom, Varun, went with the classic damask textured off-white dhoti and sherwani. His crisp gold and white safa added just the right touch of ethnicity to his entire ensemble. For the reception ceremony, this couple brought on their classy sides with the beautiful bride dressed in a beige saree intricately embellished with white crystals and beads, and Varun wore a carbon black tux with a matching bow-tie.
