Unforgettable Contemporary Wedding Held at Le Cabanna Resort, Goa!

Ayushe and Shrey’s love story is only a year old during which they have managed to take #relationshipgoals to a whole new level; and their love-filled wedding at Le Cabbana Resort in Goa, only goes to prove it.

Once the marriage was finalised by the couples’ families, they themselves needed only a few dates to realise that they were indeed, meant to be. Their desire to be together couldn’t seem to wait much longer and a wedding that was scheduled to take place a year later, was done in just 3 months! Destiny doing it right, eh? 😉

With the amount of love that we witnessed in the photographs of Ayushe and Shrey’s wedding, beautifully captured by Camera Crew, we never would have guessed it was an arranged marriage! The couple had an extravagant wedding bash that was the perfect blend of Indian tradition and contemporary elements. The fun and entertainment that ensued throughout the wedding week is certainly going to be remembered fondly by not only the wedded families but by every guest present at their beautiful venue. Right from the pre-wedding shoot to the end of the wedding, every single moment was awe-worthy.  Well done, parents!

WEDDING SHOOT

This cute couple started off their wedding with a photo-shoot that was way too adorable!
The first set of shots was captured with Ayushe wearing a colourful corset-top with jeans while Shrey balanced it out with a plain white shirt and black jeans.

For the second, which was done after the wedding celebrations, they posed by the lake in colour co-ordinated outfits of blue jeans and mango-yellow uppers. We must say, they look perfect together!

The third set, which was also a post-wedding shoot and our favourite, was a beautifully traditional one with a hint of the west. Ayushe looked stunning in a red floor-length piece with yellow floral prints, choosing to pair it up with a sheer green dupatta with a pink border. Shrey himself looked handsome in nude trousers over which he sported a crisp white shirt and a purple bandhgala. The brilliantly candid shots had them kissing, running along the beach hand in hand and to put it shortly, simply being head over heels for each other.  

HALDI CEREMONY

The Haldi started out religiously with the families blessing the couple and conducting all the necessary ceremonies. What proceeded was by far the most entertaining event at the wedding celebrations! Fitting the occasion, Ayushe donned a haldi yellow criss-cross crop top with casual white palazzos, accessorizing with a pretty, floral headband. Our groom once again, colour co-ordinated with his better half, sporting a haldi yellow t-shirt and shorts. After being covered in the yellow paste, the two decided to haldi-fy their friends too! That’s when the pool party kick-started, with people diving into the pool, dancing in the water-showers and simply having a ball with it! Kudos to the brilliant team at Camera Crew for capturing some more amazing candids!
 

MEHNDI / SANGEET

The Sangeet and Mehndi night, clubbed together, was quite the sight. The blue and orange colour palette of drapes and diwans that adorned the venue not only had the perfect contrast but also did justice to the vibrance of the entire evening. To add to the lovely night, Ayushe herself performed a number before her Mehndi session, wearing a yellow and pink corset-style blouse with gold work by SAAJ along with a beautiful red, 50 year old ghaghri that belonged to Shrey’s grandmother! :’)

THE WEDDING

Our Dulha made his entrance in a handsome, custom-decorated car, surrounded by his white-clad baraatis while the bride, all too eager to meet her beloved, got the last touches of her make-up done and prepared for hers. The result was indeed gorgeous! Ayushe looked every bit bride-worthy in an embroidered orange and green-blue ensemble by SAAJ and a stunning Kundan and pearl set. She decided to go minimal with her make-up, balancing out all the colours on her garment.  

Her entrance was something definitely worth remembering. As she neared the mandap, her brothers laid their palms on the sand and had her reach her fiancé by walking over it. Shrey set his gaze upon his bride and as her eyes met his, we knew they didn’t need words to communicate how they felt.    

“My favourite moment at the wedding is when I walked barefoot on the palms of all of my brothers and they carried me on the stage where Shrey was. There I was, mid-air, looking at him as he tried to hold back his tears. The way he looked at me in awe is something I’ll never forget.”   – Ayushe

The couple embraced and took their places on the mandap that looked beautiful in yellow drapes and floral décor. The ceremonies began, the sky lit up with fireworks and the couple hadn’t looked happier and more in love.

All in all, the entire wedding week was unforgettable, not just for the couple, but for everyone present there.
