‘When love found its way in the most unusual setting, these lovebirds decided to settle together, forever’
“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” –Maya Angelou
The Story
Love blossomed between Suhani and Keshav over a period of three long years. They met each other while pursuing their CA articleship and started out as good friends. As time passed, they ended up spending a lot of time together and realized they absolutely enjoy being in each other’s company. At the end of those three long and memorable years, they knew that they were ready to be more than just good friends!
The Proposal
When you’ve known someone for that long, everything else just becomes about doing the needful when the time is right. Hence, even in their case, there was no planned proposal as such as they both knew they wanted to be with each other forever. However, it was a text from Keshav that read ‘I see you as my life partner and I can spend the rest of my life with you’ that did the magic! Over time these lovebirds brought their parents on board. The decision to tie the knot was mutual. And they set out on the journey to become man and wife with the blessings of their families and loved ones.
The Wedding
Since Keshav was pursuing his master’s in the US, Suhani along with the help of both the families laid the groundwork for all the marriage prep over a meticulous span of six months. From reaching out to relatives and friends asking recommendations to carrying out her own respective research, this soon-to-be-bride held the fort beautifully. When Keshav came back on his summer break, that’s when he finalized his outfits and looked into the little details.
(Smooth and uncomplicated teamwork at play, isn’t it?!)
Suhani and Keshav had a memorable two day November affair in Bangalore. It started with a fun mehendi and tilak ceremony in the day. The ambiance was gorgeously done up in hues of vibrant pink. The stunning bride donned a lovely pink lehenga by Esha Koul and was adorned in beautiful floral jewellery by Floral Art by Shrishti. Keshav perfectly complemented his lady love by turning up in a colour-coordinated pink bandhgala
The latter half of the day was followed by a happening sangeet and ring ceremony in the evening. For this event Suhani opted for a resplendent gold ball gown by Sulakshana Monga while Keshav looked every bit of a sophisticated dapper groom in a black angrakha style bandhgala.
The second day kickstarted with a vibrant haldi ceremony in the day. The bride and groom both stepped out in colour-coordinated yellow outfits. While Suhani chose to wear a yellow sharara which she paired with another stunning set of floral jewellery, Keshav kept it subtle in an elegant kurta pyjama.
The evening was followed by the wedding rituals. Suhani looked like a dream in an elegant Sabyasachi magenta lehenga. Keshav looked no less in an embroidered peach sherwani which he paired with an ivory stole. The marriage rituals were carried out beautifully and the atmosphere was filled with joy and lightness. For this lovely couple, their inter caste marriage turned out to be much more memorable than they had envisioned and they couldn’t be more grateful to their parents for their support and blessings.
The Photographer
Neeta Shankar was roped in as the wedding photographer for all the events. As Suhani had already collaborated with the photographer on a prior occasion, she couldn’t think of anyone else to capture her life’s most important days. Suhani articulated her experience by saying,
“Neeta is an amazing photographer. I had worked with her earlier(before I hired her for my wedding) for my portfolio shoots and I was very comfortable with her. Her team was working relentlessly, literally on their toes during those 2 days. They made Keshav and me feel like we are celebrities waiting to be papped. They captured each and every moment beautifully and when I look at the pictures now, it’s hard for me to choose the best because all are so good.”
