When Rains Sparked Love
Everyone wants a magical wedding and what better than having one in Thailand on a beautiful beach. This lovely couple had a fairytale wedding in Thailand, giving us major wedding goals!
How they Met
Zoya and Chanpreet met at a mutual friend’s party where something instantly clicked between them. After spending some time together, deep down, they knew they were meant for each other. Zoya shared one of the very magical moments she had with Chanpreet saying “We were sitting on a bench one night, holding hands, it was drizzling. I asked him what kind of a person do you think I am? And he replied “you are the kind of a person I wanna be with when I want to be alone” its a quote from one of my favourite books named Eleanor and Park. He remembered. At that moment, he kind of won me over.”
One day before the wedding Chanpreet proposed Zoya. He decorated the room with flowers and candles, promised to love her every day of his life, and so did Zoya. “He asked the question, and I said yes!” Zoya adds
The Wedding
They had a fabulous couple shoot by Reels and frames which kicked off the beginning of their wedding. Zoya and Chanpreet wore white for this shoot and have mesmerising pictures!
The next was the yacht party, they both wore colour-coordinated boho styled attire. Zoya’s wore a Deccan bustier with tribal skein work & Deccan tassel panel, and Chanpreet wore Deccan resort shirt, chalk resort trousers and Deccan espadrilles by Shivan and Narresh This event was lots of fun where people just let loose and danced a lot along with a lot of drinking going on on the sides.
They had a welcome dinner cum mehndi where the couple was very simply dressed. Zoya wore a beige halter neck one piece while Chanpreet wore a simple white shirt with trousers.
They then had a pool party and haldi, which was a grand colourful affair. The couple again wore colour-coordinated clothes with Zoya wearing a greenish-yellow lehenga with delicate floral work in pastel colours by Papa Don’t Preach. Chanpreet did the cool way by wearing a short suit in mehndi colour. It was a total fun event. The couple entered amidst colourful smoke which made the entry dramatic. Zoya didn’t wear any jewellery yet looked stunning.
Haldi was again a fun-filled affair with people bathing the couple in beer and lathering them in haldi. Zoya wore a white Anarkali with a broad golden border and Chanpreet wore simple printed cotton kurta pyjama. They had some fantastic pictures clicked too!
Sangeet was again a rocking event where there was lots of dancing and people enjoying themselves. Performances from the bride and her bridesmaid were the highlight of the night. Zoya dazzled in her dark green heavily embroidered one-piece dress with linear recycled polymer and hand-embroidered details and diamond set. She even wore similar diamond bangles. Chanpreet was equally stunning in black elongated tape jacket with intricate hand embellishments and black pagadi both by Amit Aggarwal.
It was finally the wedding day that the couple awaited. Hosted in an open lawn at the beachside, the mandap looked very elegant in floral and drapes decor. The holy Guru Granth Sahib was brought to the mandap first and then taken to the hall where the couple made their vows. Zoya looked like a princess in her pink lehenga with golden thread and gota patti work by Sabyasachi. In contrast to her lehenga, she wore marine blue or pastel blue haar and jhumkas. Beautiful ghungroo and kundan bangles along with kundan matha patti completed the look. Her hair was tied in a bun and decorated with flowers. Chanpreet complimented her perfectly in his pastel baby pink sherwani with a floral stole by Raghvendra Rathore.
Up next was the elegant reception party where Zoya looked alluring in her shiny cocktail gown by Gaurav Gupta. Chanpreet wore a pure cream coloured bandhgala suit. There were champagne, ruffled cake and lots of dancing as the liquor kept pouring in. The couple and the guests had lots of fun marking the end of this fun-filled three days wedding.
